John Gray, the president of Richardson Group, has more than 20 years experience in the insurance business. He spent the first 13 years of his career at an agency that focused on the ski industry and quickly recognized the importance of taking a proactive approach to minimizing risk. Later, John moved on to apply the same "prevention first" principles to two other sports-oriented industries: ice rinks and health clubs. Working with Connecticut-based law firm, Edwards & Angell, John developed risk management programs recognized for their success at helping prevent accidents before they happen. (For more on Edwards & Angell, visit edwardsangell.com). In 1990, John formed the Richardson Group, which offers tailored insurance programs for ice rinks, tire dealers and health clubs. The Richardson Group also offers personal and commercial lines of insurance.

A native of Canada, John came to the United States to attend the University of New Hampshire on a hockey scholarship. After graduation, he signed a professional contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs and later played five years in the World Hockey Association (WHA) with Phoenix, Houston and, finally, the Winnipeg Jets. John is a member of the UNH Hall of Fame.
